Association of Collegiate Anglers Announces Partnership with Chums for the 2024-25 Season

SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 11, 2024) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce a partnership with Chums — a leader in the outdoor industry for over 40 years manufacturing premium eyewear retainers, wallets, bags, and accessories, built for adventure. Chums will support college anglers throughout the 2024-25 season of the Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. The partnership will include product promotion, a discount program, products to be included in prizes, as well as support at events to include the 20th Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops at Lake Hartwell in 2025.

Chums has a long and storied history on the water. The concept for their best-selling Original eyewear retainer was born in 1983 when their founder, a dory boat captain in Southern Utah, was tired of watching his customers lose their sunglasses to the bottom of the Colorado River. 

In 2002, Chuck Ferries purchased Chums in partnership with his son and son-in-law. Chums products will also be featured in prize payouts at various ACA events throughout the 20th season.
