Fish care is always a key element in tournament bass fishing. Last night at the Angler & Sponsor Banquet each angler received a bottle of G-Juice. G-Juice is a great product from T-H Marine that assists in rejuvenating the fish and keeping them alive during a day out on the water.

We are starting to receive a few reports from out on the water of fish catches from anglers in the tournament field. For the anglers that are getting bites, they all seem to have four or five fish in the well. There has been a great deal of boat traffic around the McFarland Park area as anglers seem to be focusing on this section of the lake. Just within sight of the ramp, we have seen several fish been caught this morning.

A light rain has set in across Florence here. After taking a quick glance at the radar, it appears as though the down lake portion of Pickwick Lake may be clear of the rain. The rain that has fallen across the Shoals Region over the course of the past week has created a decent bit of current moving through the Tennessee River system. That current will be key in triggering those offshore ledge fish into biting.

A brief rain storm just passed through the Florence area. We will take a look at the weather here in a moment and provide an update on the blog regarding the conditions.
