Tripp Berlinsky and Bryce Dimauro from 8th ranked University of North Alabama won the major event with a two-day total of 30.96 pounds. The duo entered today in 4th place, roughly 1.50 pounds behind the 1st place team going into today from Murray State College.

The two angler pairing of Bryce & Tripp from 8th ranked University of North Alabama entered today in 4th place.  The currently have a limit for an estimated 15 pounds.

The Day 1 leaders, Braden & Tityn, from Murray State College, just checked in with these two keeper bass.  College fishing is a unique sport, as schools of all different classifications compete on the same level.  Murray State College is a junior college in Oklahoma.  This weekend, anglers from that team are competing against representatives from major state institutions, as well as many of the blue bloods of collegiate bass fishing.  A victory for Braden & Tityn would be a monumental moment for the recently formed team that’s looking to make a name for itself in college fishing.

Up until a few moments ago, Drake and Andrew from number one ranked Carson-Newman University had yet to boat a keeper.  The pair entered today in second place for the event.  They now have three keepers for just over 5 pounds.

The full field of 262 boats is out on Lake Dardanelle once again for Day 2 of tournament competition at the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open.  Conditions today are setting up very similar to yesterday.  Temperatures were cool to start the morning, and will warm into the low 90’s this afternoon.  There is abundant sunshine and minimal wind, at the moment.

ACA camera crews have recently provided updates on some of the Top 3 teams.  We will provide those here shortly.

Anglers competing in the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open this weekend have the opportunity to participate in the AFTCO Bank Bag Program.  Anglers are encouraged to fill these bags with trash from around the park, lake, and surrounding areas to promote conservation.  In return for filling up the Bank Bag with trash, anglers receive a $25 AFTCO gift card.

Braden & Tityn from Murray State College enter today in 1st place, with just under a half pound lead over second.  Murray State College is a junior college located in Tishomingo, OK.  These anglers currently lead an elite field consisting of 262 boats, within which 21 of the Top 25 ranked teams in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia are represented.  Following Day 1 weigh-in, the anglers expressed enthusiasm for Day 2 and know how important a victory would be to them…as well as their team.  ACA camera crews are in the boat with them to begin the day.  We will provide any updates we receive regarding the leaders.

Temperatures to start today are about five degrees warmer than on Day 1.  The forecasted high temperature will warm to roughly the same as yesterday.  Similar conditions are on deck, as it is projected that there will be minimal clouds and bright sunshine.  As the day progresses, winds will start to shift from the south to the west/northwest ahead of a cool front that will move into the area at the start of the week.

Good Sunday morning from Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR!  Today marks the final day of tournament competition for the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open.  The full field of 262 boats will take to Lake Dardanelle again this morning for the second stop of the season on the 2024-25 Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, the Association of Collegiate Anglers’ historic 20th season.

At the conclusion of weigh-in today, the ACA will award $20,000 in prizes and contingencies.  The Top 20 teams will be paid out, along with several exact places, as well as a Power-Pole to the Overall Big Bass.  Teams are also competing for valuable double points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  Schools will be able to earn points for their two highest-finishing teams inside of the Top 150.  First place will receive 1,750 points for their respective school.

The Top 10 teams in the final tournament standings will also earn automatic qualification into the 2025 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.
