The registration and angler meeting in now complete!  Over 270 teams came through registration tonight and are set to compete in the Pickwick Slam on Pickwick Lake in Florence, AL.

Friday, April 4 – 2:10 PM

Anglers have been fishing all over Pickwick Lake throughout practice.  Pickwick is a diverse fishery that offers anglers a multitude of different places to fish.  A majority of the bass this week are likely in the pre-spawn phase.  Warming temperatures in the previous days should have worked to warm the water up and put fish on the move up to the shallows.  Anglers who are able to target those key transition areas will be able to pick bass off as they move up.  Each of the last two times the ACA has contested this event here during the spring, it has been won with two different patterns.  We will soon learn in the coming days what the winning combination will be this go around!

Friday, April 4 – 12:51 PM

The Pickwick Slam is a no-entry-fee tournament that will pay out more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies.  This payout includes prizes to the Top 20 teams, and a Power-Pole for the Overall Big Bass.  The prize list includes product and gift cards from Bass Pro Shops, AFTCO, Power-Pole, Bajío Sunglasses, Rapala/Crush City, 13 Fishing, T-H Marine, Turtlebox, and Trailer Valet.  View the complete prize list here.

Friday, April 4 – 12:00 PM
