22nd Place – East Texas Baptist University

SAN ANTONIO, TX (4/23/2020) – The next team in our Top 25 feature hails from the state of Texas.  East Texas Baptist is currently ranked 22nd in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia with 4,360 points.  So far this season, they have competed in their fair share of events which has helped to contribute to their Top 25 ranking.

ETBU fishes the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series on a consistent basis.  During the 2019-2020 season, their best showing at ACA ran events occurred at the 2019 AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR.  Grant Hendrix & Cameron Tullis finished the event in 20th place.  The Texas-based university earned a total of 1,010 points at the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open.

The Tigers Bass Team is a household name out on the college circuit.  When it comes to fishing in Texas, they are a force to be reckoned with.  Each year, ETBU shows up to the Texas Lunker Challenge presented by Mossy Oak Fishing on Sam Rayburn Reservoir ready to show out.  However, their success is not limited to just inside the borders of Texas.  East Texas Baptist University has success all across the country at major events.  And it is because of that year-long success that they are ranked in the Top 25 for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.
