Job description

CarecoTV is looking to hire a full-time editor to join our creative team in San Antonio, Texas. This person will be responsible for editing a fishing/hunting television series, producing video clips for social media, other small video projects/commercials, and preparing digital graphics for promotions.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience, AVID, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop experience and enjoy working in a dynamic, one-of-a-kind team environment for a company with over 25 years of experience in the media world.

 

Requirements & Responsibilities include:

  • Must have knowledge of hunting and/or fishing
  • Edit video clips for sponsor content videos and social media usage immediately after shoots
  • Edit short and long form (half-hour) videos
  • Create graphics (using Photoshop) for websites, eBlasts, eMagazines, social media, and other needs
  • Upload video clips to applicable digital platforms (such as YouTube, Roku channel, websites, etc)
  • Log raw footage as assigned by Lead Editor
  • Be able to export videos to multiple digital formats and codecs, per network specifications
  • Learn media storage system and process, in order to be available to assist as needed
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Have an eye for composition, storytelling, and getting the client’s message across
  • Must be reliable, manage workload to meet deadlines in fast-paced, professional environment
  • Keen knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Avid Media Composer
  • Prefer Avid or similar non-linear edit system knowledge
  • Writing skills a bonus, but not required
