EP. 33 – Sam Houston State Smashes St. Lawrence Smallmouth

Last week on the #WeAreCollegiateBass Podcast we spoke with anglers from the University at Buffalo. They had just completed day one action on the St. Lawrence River for the Bassmaster College Series. One week later we are now talking with the winners of that specific event. Jackson Carrell and Bryton Kurtz from Sam Houston State University won with a three day total of 72 pounds and 13 ounces. That equals an average of over four pounds per fish. A majority of the fish weighed in at this event were smallmouth. Jackson and Bryton will break down how they caught their fish, and talk about their experience last week. On this episode we will also introduce the first standings for the 2019-2020 Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Sam Houston State opens up the year inside of the top five. That will also be a topic of discussion with them in this episode. Tune in for the latest from the past week in college bass fishing!
