Back to School 101: BUFF

For young anglers, two of the biggest items for you to be aware of are skin care and sun protection.  That can come in a variety of forms including sunscreen, long sleeve items, and multifunctional headwear.  One of our partners with the ACA is BUFF®.  Their goal is to design and produce items to keep their clients cool and safe in the outdoors.  In the latest installment of “Back to School 101,” Lesson 6 will focus on BUFF® and provide great detail into their partnership with the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.

 

School of the Year ‘Yellow Jersey’

For three seasons now, BUFF® has created a multifunctional headwear specifically for the ACA.  These items have featured the Series logo and were included in prize packages and giveaways over the last several years.  New for the 2018-2019 season, BUFF® introduced the new ‘Yellow Jersey’ headwear.  At each ACA event, the current School of the Year leader is to be awarded with these specialized yellow buffs to wear throughout the event.

 

During the 2019 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops, McKendree University sported the ‘Yellow Jersey.’  Once the scales closed on the final day, they were crowned the School of the Year winner for the 2018-2019 season.  The first opportunity of this new season for a team to dawn the yellow headwear will be at the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley during the first week of October.  Stay tuned to see who will be in first place at that time.
