2022 Barnett Reservoir Rumble Set to Take Place in Ridgeland, MS on April 9-10

SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 21, 2022) – In just over two weeks, the Association of Collegiate Anglers will be hosting its final major event of the 2021-22 season before the year-end Championship in May.  The 2022 Barnett Reservoir Rumble will be contested at Barnett Reservoir in Ridgeland, MS on April 9th-10th.   This ACA major event will pay out tens of thousands of dollars in prizes & contingencies, as well as double points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.

Registration for this televised ACA major event is set to close Sunday, April 3rd at 6:00 PM (CT).  A confirmation email will be sent out next week to all anglers currently registered to compete in the event.  If you do not receive that email, please contact us at college@carecotv.com.

Prizes, Contingencies, and Valuable Points

The 2022 Barnett Reservoir Rumble will mark the first time the ACA has hosted an event in Ridgeland, MS at Barnett Reservoir.  Set to be contested April 9th – 10th, the Barnett Reservoir Rumble is the final ACA major regular-season event before the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops in May.  The Rumble will be a major event in the race for Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia, as it will award double points along with over $20,000 in prizes & contingencies and the Top 10 finishing teams will automatically qualify for the 2022 Championship.

The Top 20 teams in the final tournament standings will receive a prize payout.  Ranging from several hundred dollars to a close to $5,000 grand prize, this no-entry-fee event will feature prizes from top brands including Garmin, Bass Pro Shops, Rapala, T-H Marine, 13 Fishing, and more.  Top overall Big Bass for the event will receive a Power-Pole gift certificate.  In addition, this event will be televised so teams in contention for School of the Year and top finishers in this event will receive extensive media exposure for their programs and themselves.

Along with the valuable prizes & contingencies available to teams competing in the event, schools will also be able to earn points for each of their highest two placing teams in the event down to 125th place.

The Barnett Reservoir Rumble will be is a crucial event in defining the race for Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia this season.  Teams will travel from all across the country to earn their share of the points awarded at this ACA major event.  The winner of the Barnett Reservoir Rumble will earn 1,250 points.  This will be the second-to-last double points event before a number one team is crowned at Pickwick Lake.
