Ridge Rutledge from Top 25 Ranked Campbellsville University Takes Home Garmin Tournament Rewards
SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 24, 2023) – Ridge Rutledge, and teammate Wyatt Pearman, from Top 25 ranked Campbellsville University won the Association of Collegiate Anglers’ second event of the 2023-24 season. With a two-day total of 28.13 pounds, the first-place finish earned the anglers close to $6,000 in prizes and contingencies, including Garmin Tournament Rewards.

Rutledge and Pearman entered the final day of tournament competition at Lake Dardanelle just 0.02 pounds behind the first-place team from Murray State University. The Campbellsville University anglers backed up a quality Day 1 with 13.41 pounds on Day 2. That limit of bass helped them to edge out second place by over 1.50 pounds.
Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR is a fishery that is full of great fish catching cover, both offshore and along the bank. In recent years, some of the top teams in this event have utilized their electronics to find quality bites off the bank. Rutledge and Pearman did just that to secure the victory at the second ACA event of the 2023-24 season.
“The way I used my Garmin electronics was finding isolated wood off of the banks that you would never know it was there if it wasn’t for my Garmin,” said Rutledge.
Garmin Tournament Rewards is a premier contingency program that is available to qualified anglers at all ACA events. The highest-placing finisher at each tournament that used Garmin Qualified Equipment will win the Garmin Tournament Reward of $500. The boat from which each Garmin Tournament Reward Winner fished must have been equipped with one or more Garmin fixed-mounted marine electronics (including Garmin GPS units, fishfinders, combo units, and chartplotters) or a Garmin trolling motor (collectively, “Garmin Qualified Equipment”).
