10 More Tickets Punched for the 2025 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops

SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 17, 2024) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently contested its second event of the 2024-25 season on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series, the ACA’s historic 20th season.  262 teams competed in the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, AR.  The elite field of college anglers was vying for more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies, as well as double points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  Along with the valuable prizes and points up for grabs, the Top 10 teams in the final tournament standings earned qualification into the 2025 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.

Here are the 10 teams that earned automatic qualification to compete in the 20thedition of college fishing’s longest-running National Championship at Lake Hartwell next May:

  1. Tripp Berklinsky & Bryce Dimauro – University of North Alabama
  2. Cade Lipham & Caleb Coleman– Drury University
  3. Miles Smith & Levi Thibodeaux – LSU-Shreveport
  4. Harmon Marien & Maxwell Trotter – McKendree University
  5. Andrew Oswalt & Evan Mabrey – University of Montevallo
  6. Peyton Harris & Dalton Head –University of Montevallo
  7. Aaron McGill & Luka Strepacki –University of Tennessee
  8. Braden Lankford & Tityn Miller – Murray State College
  9. Carter Nutt & Dylan Nutt –University of North Alabama
  10. Jase White & Lane King – Drury University

Three different schools earned multiple qualifications this past weekend.  UNA, Drury, and Montevallo all had two teams place in the Top 10 at the AFTCO Collegiate Open.  This is significant towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year, as each of these teams are currently ranked in the Top 10.  With the 2025 Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops being a triple points event, the more boats a school qualifies to compete…the greater their chances are to maximize points earning opportunities.

With two of the ACA’s three regular-season events complete, four schools have managed to qualify multiple boats for the ACA’s 20th National Championship.  Here is a look at those schools that have earned additional boats via the automatic qualification criteria:

University of Montevallo – 5 Additional Boats Qualified

Drury University – 3 Additional Boats Qualified

University of North Alabama – 3 Additional Boats Qualified

McKendree University – 2 Additional Boats Qualified

All qualifications earned via top finishes at ACA events are in addition to spots secured through other criteria.
