The ACA and Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Welcome AFTCO as Newest Sponsor
AFTCO Joins the ACA and Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series as newest sponsor
The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) is proud to announce AFTCO as the newest partner of the 2018 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. AFTCO also has been named as the title sponsor of the Collegiate Bass Fishing Open to be held on Lake Dardanelle in October. As a new sponsor of the Series, AFTCO will support collegiate anglers in a variety of ways ranging from conservation programs, discount programs and more at each of the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series events this season.
Family owned and operated by three generations of the Shedd family, the American Fishing Tackle Company is a market leader in shorts, performance shirts, technical woven shirts, outerwear, fleece, hats and big game fishing tackle. AFTCO created the world’s first ever pair of fishing shorts in 1989 when they introduced the legendary M01 Original Fishing Shorts, still the world’s most popular fishing short. In 2018, AFTCO officially enters the freshwater market bringing their award winning products and 10% Conservation pledge. AFTCO contributes more than 10% of company profits to fishing conservation, for protecting our resources, and ensuring a sustainable fishery for future generations in their 10% pledge to protect and conserve.
“We are so excited to partner with ACA as we enter the freshwater market in 2018. We feel our products are a great fit for young anglers and we have some very exciting conservation programs planned with them in 2018 at many of their successful events across the country,” Casey Shedd, Vice-President, AFTCO.
AFTCO’s conservation commitment and legacy will carry over into some exciting new programs for college anglers with ACA this season. In partnering with the ACA, AFTCO and the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series will work together to create a conservation program that rewards collegiate anglers for their stewardship efforts. Details for the program will be released in the coming months.
“AFTCO has had a long history in supporting fishing and conservation efforts. This support has been something that we’ve admired for some time and we’re excited to see AFTCO come on board to be our newest partner. Personally I can’t wait to begin to roll out all the programs to support the growth of college fishing while also promoting e conservation,” said Wade Middleton, Director of the Association of Collegiate Anglers and President of CarecoTV.
The first of programs AFTCO will begin rolling out to support college fishing is a discount program that will offer college anglers a 40% discount on all AFTCO clothing available on their website. For more information visit their discount page here.
