Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Open Field Kicks Off On Lake Dardanelle
Russellville, AR (March 25, 2017) – Hundreds of anglers walked into the Hughes Center in Russellville, Arkansas this evening to check into the 2017 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Open. With two days of fishing on Lake Dardanelle ahead of them, and hundreds of Cabela’s School of the Year points up for grabs, anglers were able to enjoy free barbecue, a Garmin electronics display and a chance to relax before the next two days on the water.
Weather conditions should be favorable with a high of 66 degrees on Saturday and 76 degrees on Sunday and anglers will be looking to take advantage of the warmer days. It will be interesting to see if tonight’s storm will have any effect on the patterns the anglers have developed during practice. While most of the focus will be on strategy with this unique team format, seven of the Top 10 ranked Cabela’s School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia teams will be looking to make a move up the leaderboard. Bryan College is sitting in 1st place and will definitely have their eye on adding another good performance to keep the momentum.
Coverage will start bright and early with our Live Blog brought to you by Cabela’s and Ranger Boats to bring you all the latest updates from on-the-water. Then tune in to our Live Stream powered by Garmin and Ram Trucks at 3pm to watch the weigh-in as it happens.
