Clayton Ellis from Top 20 Ranked Blue Mountain Christian Earns T-H Marine Atlas Awards at Pickwick Lake

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 10, 2025) – The Pickwick Slam, contested at Pickwick Lake last weekend, was the first event of 2025 on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series and third major tournament on the Association of Collegiate Anglers’ historic 20th season.  This major college event saw over 270 teams competing for more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies.  One of the many contingencies available to eligible anglers was T-H Marine Atlas Awards.

Clayton Ellis from 17th ranked Blue Mountain Christian University claimed the tournament contingency bonus.  T-H Marine Atlas Awards paid out $200 to the highest-placing eligible team.

Ellis, competing with fellow teammate Chandler Howell, won the Pickwick Slam with a five bass limit weighing 25.54 pounds.  That total weight bested second place by just less than a pound, making them the highest-finishing T-H Marine Atlas Awards eligible team.

Anglers competing in Association of Collegiate Anglers events in 2025 are eligible to register for T-H Marine Atlas Awards.  To qualify for the tournament contingency bonus, anglers must register prior to the event and run a T-H Marine ATLAS Jack Plate.  Anglers that are registered for Atlas Awards will be eligible to earn $200 at regular season events, and $500 at the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.
