Another determining factor as to how many teams a school can send is the rankings for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Any school ranked inside of the Top 25 as of May 10, 2023 will qualify to send three teams in addition to their one guaranteed team, for a maximum total of four teams.
Anglers have also had the chance to earn additional qualifications for their school this season by competing and placing in the top of the standings at each of the three major ACA events. Here is how those automatic qualification spots were awarded:
- Top 5 teams at Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley
- Top 5 teams at AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open
- Top 10 teams at Pickwick Slam presented by Evolution Fishing
The exact teams/anglers who earned qualification via top finishes are to register as the exact angler pairing that competed at the qualifying event. Anglers qualifying via the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley can select an eligible teammate to fill the second spot.
