A strong wind is starting to kick up across Lake Dardanelle. Look for this to possibly have a positive impact on the bite out there. This wind will start to push baitfish around and stir up activity. It will also concentrate the fish in more specific wind-blown areas. We will provide updates from on-the-water as we receive them.

Beau and Hunter from Top 10 ranked Drury University have approximately 10 pounds in the well. That is the highest reported weight we have hear of so far today. Definitely a great start for the two anglers who won another major college event on this lake last weekend.

One of our camera teams just rolled up on Rojas and Phillips from Simpson University. They have one keeper for roughly 2 pounds.
Simpson University wins the award for most miles travelled to compete in this weekend’s event. Located all the way out in California, Simpson is competing in it first-ever ACA tournament. The team is currently ranked Top 5 in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.

The weigh-in site is set up at Lake Dardanelle State Park. This is where weigh-in and prize presentation will happen this weekend!
The first flight is due back in at 3:00 PM today.
On Day 2, the first flight is due in at 1:00 PM.

On-the-water reports are few and far between this morning. None of the three teams our camera crews started the day with have boated a keeper fish.
Crews are on the move now to catch up with other teams competing in the event!

The full field is now out on Lake Dardanelle for Day 1 of competition in the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open.
We have camera crews following representatives from the Top 3 teams in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. Pictured above are two anglers representing number one ranked Adrian College. Adrian is sporting the exclusive BUFF Yellow Headwear this weekend.
