Montevallo Enters Pickwick Slam Ranked Number One in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia

McKendree University ranked 2nd, University of North Alabama is in 3rd

FLORENCE, AL (April 4, 2025) – Leading up to the final double points event of its historic 20th season, the Association of Collegiate Anglers updated the points standings for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.

The University of Montevallo remains atop college fishing’s only all-encompassing National Rankings system with a season total of 23,490 points.  McKendree University moves up one spot into 2nd overall, and the University of North Alabama improves by three places to be ranked 3rd.

This latest points update features results from numerous School-Run/Other Events, as well as a MLF College Series tournament.  Here is a look at teams that made significant moves up in the standings during this latest update:

4) Carson-Newman University – Previously Ranked 9th

7) Drury University – Previously Ranked 10th

13) Auburn University – Previously Ranked 14th

14) Emmanuel University – Previously Ranked 15th

16) Murray State University – Previously Ranked 20th

Troy University was the only team to move up into the Top 25 during this rankings release.  The Alabama based school is now ranked 25th after previously being in 30th.

This upcoming weekend, the ACA will contest its final double points tournament before the year end triple points Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops next month.  24 of the Top 25 ranked teams are set to compete at Pickwick Lake.  Following the completion of this event, the ACA will update the points standings for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  That standings update will also include points awarded for the results of the latest Bassmaster College Series tournament in Oklahoma this week.
