Northeastern State University Anglers Claim G2 Gemini Jerseys Contingency Bonus

SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 23, 2023) – The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently contested its second no-entry-fee, nationally televised, double points event of the 2023-24 season.  Over 450 anglers competed at Lake Dardanelle for more than $20,000 in prizes and contingencies.  One of those contingency programs that was available to qualified anglers was the G2 Gemini Jerseys Tournament Contingency.

Trenton Underwood and Lane Taylor earned the G2 Gemini Jerseys Contingency bonus.  The pair of anglers from Northeastern State University each earned a $100 G2 Gemini Jerseys gift certificate, for a total additional payout of $200.

“It was awesome to see the support they give us. They are great looking jerseys and very comfortable,” noted Taylor.

Underwood and Taylor finished in 11th place out of the nearly 240 boat field of elite college anglers.  After weighing in 6.56 pounds and being tied for 79th following Day 1, the Northeastern State anglers weighed in a five-bass limit for 15.05 pounds on the final day of competition.  Their Day 2 limit was the second largest bag of the entire event and helped them to climb close to 70 spots in the standings, which was good enough to claim the G2 Gemini Jerseys Tournament Contingency.

“It felt great knowing they give back to us anglers. For as long as I know we’ve ran G2 Gemini Jerseys at NSU, they’ve always looked good and they’re super easy to work with,” said Underwood.  “With me being the President on the team, it’s always a good thing to have someone that’s willing to work with you like G2 Gemini and it feels good getting a little extra money back in your pocket.”

The G2 Gemini Jerseys Contingency is available at all ACA events during the 2023-24 season.  The highest finishing angler/team, where one or both anglers are wearing a G2 Gemini Jersey, at each ACA event will receive a G2 Gemini Jerseys gift card.  In the case when the highest-finishing G2 Gemini Jersey wearer is a two-angler team, each angler wearing a G2 Gemini Jersey will receive a $100 Gemini gift card, for a total payout of up to $200.  If the highest-placing finisher wearing a G2 Gemini Jersey is an individual angler, that angler will receive a $100 gift card.
