WKU Angler Johnathan Brian Passes Away at the Age of 21

The Association of Collegiate Anglers is saddened to learn about the passing of Johnathan Brian.  Brian, 21 years old, was a Junior at Western Kentucky University and a member of the school’s bass fishing club.

Brian, along with his teammate and two other anglers, was involved in a multiple boat accident while practicing for a Bassmaster College Series tournament last week.

The Western Kentucky University Bass Fishing Team on Instagram (@wkubassfishing) posted the following this morning, along with information for donations:

“WKU Bass is severely saddened to have lost one of our own, JB was an amazing kid and teammate, and he will very missed. Thank you guys for your prayers and please keep your thoughts the the family moving forward.

– I do want to note that his mom has set up a Venmo account to help with cost, if you feel so generous to do so I have attached the account in the second picture, you can feel comfortable that it’s going to the right place. If needed the phone number code is 2455.”
